# Transfer assets to Karura

**If you don’t have KSM on Kusama Network**

* Select the SubWallet extension
* Click <mark style="color:purple;">`Receive`</mark> Button

* Click your Substrate account

* Select <mark style="color:purple;">`Kusama Relay Chain`</mark>

* Click <mark style="color:purple;">`Copy`</mark> icon to copy your address

* You can use an exchange to transfer KSM to Kusama network. Make sure you select <mark style="color:purple;">`KSM`</mark> as the netowrk and paste your address
* You can now see your balance by clicking the SubWallet Extension or viewing in the Kusama network page

**If you already have KSM on Kusama network**

* Connect wallet with SubWallet to [<mark style="color:purple;">apps.karura.network</mark>](https://apps.karura.network/)
* Then select <mark style="color:purple;">`Bridge`</mark> from the navigation menu
* Choose <mark style="color:purple;">`Kusama`</mark> as <mark style="color:purple;">`Origin Chain`</mark> and <mark style="color:purple;">`Karura`</mark> as <mark style="color:purple;">`Destination Chain`</mark>
* Confirm the KSM received account
* Enter the KSM amount you wish to transfer and click <mark style="color:purple;">`Transfer`</mark>

* Complete the transfer by entering your SubWallet password and clicking <mark style="color:purple;">`Approve`</mark> in pop-up

* Once the transfer is successful you can see your balance on the portfolio pages on Karura and inside your SubWallet extension
* If you want to transfer your asset back to Kusama from Kuraru, follow the same step. Just switch the chain network
* If you want to send KSM from Karura to an Exchange, you should follow your exchange's instructions on depositing KSM from the Kusama network once you have sent KSM on Kusama.

## Transfer KAR

Exchanges that support the Karura network and the KAR token would support direct withdraw/deposit KAR to/from Karura network. Please confirm with your exchange how to send KAR tokens to the Karura network.&#x20;

You can always send a small amount to verify before sending the full amount.&#x20;

If you have KAR in other parachains, you can send it to Karura using <mark style="color:purple;">`Bridge`</mark>
